SENSEI Shahab

Sensei Shahab is the Senior Instructor of Shotokan Karate Institute. He is 6th Dan Black Belt and is Certified by Internationally recognised Japan Karate Association. He has been training karate for over 30 years now. Sensei Shahab was been personally trained by legendary karate master Sensei Abe.

SENSEI Frank

Sensei Frank began studying Shotokan karate in 1974 under Paul Masters, former Chief Instructor of the British Karate Federation, ranked 6th Dan by the European Ju-Jutsu Union, and holder of Menkyo license (only the second non-Japanese to do so) in Tenjin Shinyo Ryu.

Paul Masters was a student of Vernon Bell, who was the first Briton to hold a black belt in karate (1957), and also trained under legendary Sensei's Tetsugi Murakami and Hirokazu Kanazawa at the Legion Hall in Upminster, Essex. Graded to 1st Dan in the UK by Sensei Ray Fuller, 8th Dan Chief Instructor of Thames Karate International, Sensei Frank has graded to 3rd Dan in NZ under Sensei Mudjit and Sensei Shahab.
